About Joy Martin

Joy Martin is a Santa Barbara–based marketing and communications leader known for building clear, compelling brand narratives that connect strategy with story. A Georgia native, she graduated from Pepperdine University, earning a bachelor’s degree in creative writing with an emphasis in journalism, where she was named a Randall Scholar and served as captain of the Women’s Swimming and Diving Team. Her background as an NCAA Division I athlete instilled the focus, discipline, and resilience that define her leadership style.

Martin brings a results-driven approach and a deep understanding of audience behavior to every initiative. For more than 15 years, she has led sales and marketing strategy for global brands, including commercial and residential real estate firms and international hair and skincare companies, directing positioning, messaging, and growth in highly competitive markets.
